Do you have stacks of crocheted doilies at home, and do you wonder what in the world to do with them? Are you looking for a new quilting skill? Quilting with Doilies is the workshop for you! In Quilting With Doilies, we will incorporate doilies into a 10″ x 14″ embellished quilt sample. Techniques learned in class will work on larger quilts, home décor items, and fashion accessories. You will need a zigzag-capable sewing machine with a walking foot.
The workshop can be scheduled for 3 or 6 hours.
In the 3-hour version of Quilting with Doilies, participants will make a frameable quilt with doilies and other embellishment (no binding). Some embellishment may remain to be added after the class is over.
In the 6-hour version of Quilting with Doilies, participants will make a quilt embellished with doilies and other items. We will add binding, and an optional hanging sleeve, to the quilts.
