Winterling Wins Best of Show in Fiber at the Southwest Gourd and Fiber Fine Art Show
Suzann was pleased and proud to accept the Best of Show, Fiber, award and ribbon for her knitted, embellished quilt, Winterling, at the Southwest Gourd and Fiber Fine Art Show at the Kerrville (TX) Arts and Cultural Center, in June 2023. She has said several times now, “If you haven’t seen art gourds, you are missing out.”

Texas Crochet Heritage Panel Exhibit is Available
In the Texas Crochet Heritage panel exhibit, Suzann tells how crochet is intertwined in the history and culture of Texas. You’ll read about hardworking Texans who crocheted doilies, from the widow who crocheted while she sat with invalids, to the construction worker who used crochet to create a calm space in his busy, noisy household.
The Texas Crochet Heritage exhibit answers the questions: Where did these crocheters get their patterns? What is the proper breakfast doily table setting? How old is this doily? How do I starch a doily?
Book the 45-panel Texas Crochet Heritage exhibit with the Texas Lakes Trail Heritage Region, by contacting Jill Campbell, jill@texaslakestrail.net. The price to have the display for 6-8 weeks is $350 plus postage to the next venue.
